IMPORTANT UPDATE!
THE OWASCO STAGE RACE HAS BEEN
CONSOLIDATED TO A SUNDAY ONLY
ROAD RACE.
Hello again! We apologize for skipping out on you in
2008 but heading into last year's race there were a
multitude of circumstances that prevented us from
hosting our popular race. Its GREAT TO BE BACK!
Originally we had planned to
bring you our traditional 2 day,
3 stage race. Unfortunately, it
recently became apparent that
there was heavy opposition from
local government to conduct the
stage two criterium (and for that
matter- the stage one time
trial). With a sluggish
pre-registration, the race
committee did not think it was
worth the fight to go to the
matte for a full blown stage
race. As a result, the Owasco
Stage Race has been reduced to
the Owasco Road Race. We think
our road courses based on your
selected class are worthy of your
attendance.
If you click on the stage 3 tab
you can read the details about
the road race. Highlights are
posted to the right.
Click
here
to view the Updated Race Flyer, which outlines the projected
start times, payouts and other details you should know
ahead of the race.
Once Again, thank you
for your past and future
participation at the Owasco Stage
Race.

This year's race has changed!
Here are the highlights:
-
THERE
IS SAME DAY REGISTRATION
There will be a $10 surcharge
for same day registration,
except for those who sign up
for non licensed Citizen Open
category.
Pre-registration via BikeReg
is preferred
-
ADJUSTED CATEGORIES
For the first time, there
will be a Citizens Open
category. The Masters have
been combined into a single

-
RACE
JERSEYS FOR ALL INDIVIDUAL
CATEGORIES Even
if your race category is
combined with another one,
scoring for jerseys will be
based on your individual
class
-
REDUCED ENTRY FEES/PURSE
Our payout will be
less but we thought it better
to have as low an entry fee
as possible for the purposes
of putting on an enjoyable
road race.
-
STAGE III
ROAD RACE HAS A BETTER FINISH
After experimenting with a rolling hill finish
3 miles
from Emerson s logistically
more convenient plus its a whole lot more exciting
to finish back at the entrance to Emerson
Park.
